Ballpoint pens- who knew? This entire painting was done the eve before our Eco paper with full permission of my mother, I didn't study at all that day, felt badass doing it and wrote a good eco paper.
In black, orange, purple, green and a little pink (on the cheek) ballpoint pen.
At first I thought I'd keep it realistic and shade it with brown skin tones but then the whole point of having a work of art at your mercy is to go wild with the colours and having the power to pass off purple and green as darker skin tones of a face and I had a lot of fun doing it!

For an art admirer who cannot draw a hot bath or the drapes, the ability of an artist with the knack to conjure and cast spells so magnificent as this with whatever tools might be at hand and the spirt that moves the hand so grand just flattens me. I think that being in the role of grand designed of being and creating the subject in the artist's chosen image is not so out of keeping with what natural world so graciously shares with us. If the enchantress enthralling us from out of her image decides to do so with an unconventional black orange, purple, and green glow, who of us is to say that it might not truly be so. Way to go!
